Gandhian Varnas/Spherons: The Perpetual Actors of

the Humanity Perpetual Peace

         The key place in the Peace Science (PS) is occupied by the "spherons" concept derived from Mahatma Gandhi's "varnas", which expresses the fundamental social structure of the ancient Indian civilization almost five thousand years ago, which ensured its flourishing and world cultural leadership for almost a millennium. This is the "Vedic civilization" era of India, created by seven great, "divine" Indian sages "rishis" of mythological thinking, o­n the dating and essence of which there is no consensus in the disciplinary sciences, due to their inability, like the blind men near elephant, to consider large-scale historical phenomena as a whole. Therefore, we will not delve into it and touch upon it. Let us o­nly note that the concept of ancient Indian varnas in Gandhi's interpretation as perpetual universal spherons-actors of perpetual peace, social production and universal human history has gone through three stages. They are: Gandhian since 1927, Russian since 1970 and international in GGHA since 2005, which is reflected o­n the corresponding page of its history (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=ru_c&key=983).

         In this paragraph, we will limit ourselves o­nly to the qualification of Gandhian spheral thinking and its key concept of "varnas", expressing the subjects/actors of ancient prosperous India. With "varnas", a long and painful conceptualization of spheral thinking of perpetual peace and humanity nonviolence began, including the assassination of Gandhi. In PS, this concept is transformed into its central systemic category of "spherons", from which the conscious, scientific stage of conceptualization of spheral thinking begins, presented in a synoptic format in our Primer.

1. Gandhian spheral thinking of nonviolence and peace

         The genius of Mahatma Gandhi, not yet fully realized by humanity, is that he was the first in history to practice intuitively the varnas spheral thinking of nonviolence as perpetual peace of the humanity social nature, which I. Kant first began to speak about, but whose name and ideas, it seems, remained unknown to Gandhi. Gandhi identified the humanity perpetual peace with the perpetual peace of its perpetual varnas just as Kant identified the humanity perpetual peace with its social nature. Both brilliant intuitive identifications as a whole constitute the core of the spheral thinking emerging in the centuries of modern time. Gandhi was the first, o­n an intuitive level, to define the four-spheral, eternal structure of the humanity social nature as the foundation and source of its eternal peace/nonviolence. This structure is fully integrated into our Peace Science with the exception of a few terminological corrections, and is fundamentally grounded in it. Each of the four spheres of humanity: social, economic, political and religious (informational) is revealed from this perspective in his book "My Religion". This makes Mahatma Gandhi the first thinker o­n Earth who began spheral, holistic thinking of the humanity social nature, just as Pythagoras began spheral, holistic thinking of our planet physical nature that disciplinary thinking is unable to understand and recognize it.

         The intuitive beginning of Gandhi's spheral thinking, not yet accessible to humanity in its dominant disciplinary thinking, suppressing all sprouts of spheral innovations, is clearly expressed by him at the beginning of the seventh section of this book (https://www.mkgandhi.org/my_religion/29spheres_of_life.php).

         «The whole gamut of man's activities today constitutes an indivisible whole. You cannot divide social, economic, political and purely religious work into watertight compartments. I do not know any religion apart from human activity. It provides a moral basis to all other activities which they would otherwise lack, reducing life to a maze of sound and fury signifying nothing'.

We have to make truth and non-violence, not matters for mere individual practice but for practice by groups and communities and nations. That at any rate is my dream. I shall live and die in trying to realize it. My faith helps me to discover new truths every day. Ahimsa [nonviolence, peace] is the attribute of the soul, and therefore, to be practised by everybody in all the affairs [spheres] of life.             Nonviolence and peace for Gandhi are the property and necessity of each sphere, therefore they constitute the property and necessity of all humanity as a whole. Another integral necessity and property of humanity is the fundamental, from nature and God, equality of the spheres and all people, varnas employed in them.

         «30. In the Social Sphere. All Men Are Equal. In my opinion there is no such thing as inherited or acquired superiority. I believe in the rock-bottom doctrine of advaita (non-duality or o­neness) and my interpretation of advaita excludes totally any idea of superiority at any stage whatsoever. I believe implicitly that all men are born equal. All whether born in India or in England or America or in any circumstances whatsoever have the same soul as any other. And it is because I believe in this inherent equality of all men that I fight the doctrine of superiority which many of our rulers arrogate to themselves. I have fought this doctrine of superiority in South Africa inch by inch, and it is because of that inherent belief, that I delight in calling myself a scavenger, a spinner, a weaver, a farmer and a laborer. And I have fought against the Brahmans themselves wherever they have claimed any superiority for themselves either by reason of their birth, or by reason of their subsequently acquired knowledge. I consider that it is unmanly for any person to claim superiority over a fellow-being. He who claims superiority at o­nce forfeits his claim to be called a man.          The equally necessary and sufficient social spheres of Gandhi's intuitive spheral thinking are explicated and find conscious scientific expression in the adequate terminological language of the PS spheral thinking. Its language provides a modern, scientific interpretation of Gandhi's varnas as the o­nly structural spherons-actors of his nonviolence and perpetual peace in all the humanity history.

2. Gandhian Definitions of Varnas and Their Generalization in the Category of Spherons

         Mahatma Gandhi first started writing about varnas in the articles of his newspaper Young India since 1927, which were collected and published in his book “My Religion”, 1955, in many of its sections, but most of all in Chapter 36 of Section 8 (https://www.mkgandhi.org/my_religion/36varna_caste.php). It is almost completely copied in our book “Gandhica”, 2019 and thoroughly analyzed therein (https://peacefromharmony.org/docs/gandhi-nonviolence-of-spherons-gandhica-2019.pdf). Therefore, we will limit ourselves in this paragraph to the most important conclusions from these sources.

Gandhi defines the following key attributes of Varnas.

         1. Firstly, varnas are categorically not castes of India, although socially unequal castes have arisen from socially equal varnas, as a result of their historical corruption by social inequality. This turning transformed the prosperous India of the varnas into the most backward country of wild, unequal castes, which Gandhi expresses this objective truth unambiguously. He writes:

          «Varna has nothing to do with caste. Down with the monster of caste that masquerades in the guise of varna. It is this [caste] travesty of varna that has degraded Hinduism and India. Our failure to follow the law of varna is largely responsible both for our economic and spiritual ruin. It is o­ne cause of unemployment and impoverishment, and it is responsible for untouchability and defections from our faith. Today varna means gradation of high and low. It is a hideous travesty of the original. We have distorted it today and have made ourselves the laughing-stock of the world. Therefore, when people in disregard of the [varnas] law it leads to confusion of varna and ultimate disruption of society. Today, nations are living in ignorance and breach of that law and they are suffering for it…If we Hindus sincerely reject the [caste] division into higher and lower, then we will heal from mutual envy and mistrust of other communities and at the same time heal them.» (https://www.mkgandhi.org/my_religion/36varna_caste.php)

         This truth has been constantly, for almost 100 years, rejected and distorted by modern disciplinary science in favor of modern inequality and militarism, which in almost all encyclopedias identifies varnas with castes in order to humiliate and discredit the harmonious reality of the ancient varnas and, along with them, the name of Gandhi. This is a gross lie and deliberate falsification, which we do not dwell o­n, because it is refuted by our PSP entire content. Not a single disciplinary (“blind”, narrow) scientist is capable of a spheral generalization of varnas, because for him spheral thinking does not exist, he does not know it, and if someone speaks about it, he will reject it as a chimera.

         2. Secondly, according to Gandhi, varnas are not a temporary or subjective invention of people, but a fundamental, eternal, “Newtonian” law of the society prosperity, the highest advantage of which lies in the social equality of varnas, in the absence of their division into “higher and lower”. This division turns varnas into their opposite, into castes that humiliate society and degrade it, ensuring its fall. Gandhi writes:

         “Varna is not … a human invention, but an immutable law of nature - the statement of tendency that is ever present and at work like Newton's law of gravitation. Just as the law of gravitation existed even before it was discovered so did the law of varna. It was given to the Hindus to discover that law. By their discovery and application of certain laws of nature, the people of the West have easily increased their material possessions. Similarly, Hindus by their discovery of this irresistible social tendency have been able to achieve in the spiritual field what no other nation in the world has achieved…

         All varnas are equal, for the community depends no less o­n o­ne than o­n another. Today varna means gradation of high and low. It is a hideous travesty of the original. The law of varna was discovered by our ancestors by stern austerities. They sought to live up to the law to the best of their capacity. We have distorted it today and have made ourselves the laughing-stock of the world. Though the law of varna is a special discovery of some Hindu seer, it has universal application… Fulfillment of the law would make life livable, would spread peace and content, end all clashes and conflicts, put an end to starvation and pauperization, solve the problem of population and even end disease and suffering.” (https://www.mkgandhi.org/my_religion/36varna_caste.php)

         3. Thirdly, according to Gandhi, the law of the four varnas, employed in the four spheres of social production, is the law not o­nly of ancient India, but of all humanity, to the understanding of which it will certainly come sooner or later. The Peace Science proves this at the beginning of our century. It recognizes the varnas of India, but in their common human existence calls them by the adequate name of "spherons", which in it denotes the eternal, fundamental actors of perpetual peace and the humanity eternal social production in any of its transient historical states in their entire spectrum from prosperity to collapse and fall.

«The Rishis [Vedic sages of ancient India about 4-5 thousand years ago] after incessant experiment and research arrived at this fourfold division, that of teaching, of defending, of wealth-producing, and of manual service… Nonviolence [peace of the varnas] is the greatest force at the disposal of humanity. It is mightier than the mightiest [nuclear] weapon of destruction. It is it is always heroism not the domain of cowardice. Nonviolence [peace] is the law of our life…Varna thus conceived is no man-made institution but the law of life universally governing the human family… Though the law of varna is a special discovery of some Hindu seer, it has universal application…The world may ignore it today but it will have to accept it in the time to come. It ordains that everyone shall fulfill the law of o­ne's being by doing in a spirit of duty and service that to which o­ne is born.” (https://www.mkgandhi.org/my_religion/36varna_caste.php)

         Thus, Gandhi's planetary generalization and scaling of the ancient India four varnas, understood by him as the eternal reality of eternal actors of nonviolence and peace of humanity in its four spheres, requires an adequate category in meaning, expressing this scale of Gandhi's generalization. The spheral thinking category of similar level of scaling and generalization is the category of "spherons", which constitutes the core of both spheral thinking and its Peace Science of Peace presented in its PSP synoptic format and in this paragraph. The relationship between these concepts is that varnas are the spherons of ancient India, and spherons are the varnas of humanity as a whole. Gandhi did not introduce a new concept of "spherons" for them; it was introduced by PS, spheronics, at the next stage. The central place and role of spherons in the spheral thinking of the perpetual peace science made it possible to name this science with an adequate linguistic term "Spheronics". Therefore, the terms: Perpetual Peace Science, Peace Science and Spheronics are synonymous.

         Let us add that the existence of civilizations similar to the "varnas/spherons civilization" of India cannot be ruled out in ancient history. The existence of a similar, unique civilization that established complete equality and partnership between men and women, possible o­n social equality similar to the equality of the "varna/spherons" of India, is indicated by anthropological and archaeological studies of the ancient Crete so-called "Minoan civilization" by Riana Eisler and her colleagues (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=932).

         The Minoan culture lived for more than a thousand years without wars, fortifications and weapons. The disciplinary, confrontational humanity has studied in detail almost all of its wars, presenting its history as exclusively militaristic, but ignored the study of rare, peace-loving civilizations, essentially erasing their reality from history. The schools teach many historical wars, but know virtually nothing about cultures of peace and nonviolence, such as the Varna/Spheron civilizations of ancient India and the Minoan civilization of Crete etc. This neglect will be overcome in the spherons innovative, nonmilitaristic history, which begins since the of spheronics launch as its planetary scientific methodology, unified and holistic for humanity without immanent disciplinary confrontations.

3. Attributive qualifications of spherons in the peace science spheral thinking

         General definition. The spherons are an invariant and end-to-end social structure of any society population in four equal clusters of people, differing in employment in o­ne of the four spheres of social production.

         Below is the spherons main attributes list, which are disclosed in many GGHA publications for 20 years and earlier, the key o­nes of which are presented in the bibliography.

Spherons:

1. They arise and grow from the planet natural nature in its social nature (anthroposphere) o­n the basis of the ENSS general law of integrity in the process of anthropo/sociogenesis for 2 million years;

2. They cover the entire population in society, all people from birth to death;

3. They are employed in the production of four necessary and sufficient social resources/products PIOT from natural resources in the SIOT corresponding spheres of social production of all historical generations of people and each of their individuals;

4. They differ in employment in the spheres of social production by the subject and product of their employment and labor;

5. They create/produce and change society as a whole, at all levels, in all its objects/parts, preserving themselves as a constant in all their historical changes in the form of an eternal societal spheral genome, SOCIOGENOME;

6. They are the o­nly societal actors of society, its engine, substance and carrier of its genome;

7. They constitute a single, constant, defining social structure at all levels of social nature from the individual to the humanity planetary noosphere;

8. They determine the set of limiting living spaces of individuals, whose entire life, as parts of spherons, is completely limited by the change in the employment of individuals within the spherons employment framework in four spheres of social production;

9. They are reflected in the tetradic structure of the human psychological genome: character, consciousness, will, body;

10. They enter with their labor as necessary and sufficient fractals (holons) into the structure of all products/resources they create according to the principle of Anaxagoras “all in all”;

11. They harmonize the social organization of all spheres and spheral clusters of the integral society according to the objective measures/laws of each spheral resource/product either intuitively and spontaneously, without realizing their laws as “spherons in themselves”, or consciously and scientifically, reaching the level of self-awareness of spherons in spheronics as “spherons for themselves”;

12. Guarantee, as "spherons for themselves", the highest efficiency and productivity of labor in all spheres of social production by their harmonious, fractal-tetrarchic, as well as end-to-end and matrix organization and governance, excluding all its previously ineradicable vices, defining the strategic priorities of each sphere:

- in the sociosphere - the priority of children, equality of women, equality of spherons, the priority of peaceful, educational and harmonious education in spheronics, the eradication of poverty and a high, but ecologically limited level of well-being of the population in the spheral "limits of growth",

- in the economy (technosphere) - outstripping accelerated growth rates, as in China in the era of the "economic miracle" of Deng Xiaoping, overcoming all stagnation, recession and crises,

- in the orgsphere - the priority peacemaking focus of democracy, its full nationality due to the recognition of the children suffrage exercised by parents, harmonization of income and property spherons by legislative regulation of their interdependent levels,

- in the infosphere - priority development of spheronics in an independent innovative Academy, harmony with the spiritual progress of religions, their ecumenism and training for spheronics of the appropriate scientific personnel, free from ideologies,

13. Exclude wars among themselves, since the destruction, death of any of the spherons and the life of society without any of them are absolutely impossible;

14. Ensure global, perpetual peace as the first condition for the life/survival and absolute security of humanity, offering the antagonists of nuclear civilizations a common scientific platform to exclude the third world/nuclear war and any wars o­n Earth;

15. Establish the o­nly fair, democratic distribution of spheral surplus value, newly created wealth in each sphere between all spherons, excluding any inequality, exploitation and injustice among themselves, ensuring higher incomes for workers and sustainable profits for businesses;

16. Establish a long transition period from the violent, nuclear civilization to a nonviolent, peaceful and harmonious civilization of spherons, in which the humanity united armed forces are transformed into a planetary "Peace Corps" with o­nly humanitarian, nonviolent goals and protection from possible violent aggression from space;

17. Have no scientific and philosophical grounds to deny their objective reality, the holistic, transdisciplinary knowledge of which is launched in Gandhian spheronics.

          The social universality and objective, end-to-end reality of spherons is proven by world statistics in the GHA book "Gandhica", the addresses of which are indicated above.

         In conclusion, we emphasize the Gandhian category of "spherons" fundamental importance in spheral thinking, in essence and origin. Without its scientific understanding and recognition as the o­nly actors of perpetual peace, humanity will never come closer to it, frozen in its geopolitics at the level of endless local truces of continuous wars, which in a nuclear civilization inevitably lead 80 years to "Assured Mutual Destruction" (MAD) in the suicidal-genocidal third world war.

Мы всегда говорили о варнах Ганди как сферонах, особенно интенсивно в последние годы, когда мы к 150-летию Ганди, в 2019, опубликовали книгу "Гандика". В ней мы фундаментально верифицировали мировой статистикой сквозную социальную структуру сферонов, чего в мире никто не делал еще.

         Сфероны унаследовали главное достоинство Гандианских варн - их структурное равенство, что обеспечивает их высшее достоинство. Оно предполагает невозможность превосходства одного народа над другим, одной группы общества над иной, что делает их, как он писал, "высшей силой ненасилия человечества". Он первый и единственный использовал ее в освобождении Индии от господства Британской империи без единого выстрела, без единой капли крови.
         Истина Гандианских варн/сферонов отвергается в милитаристской эре насилия, особенно ядерной цивилизации с геноцида Хиросимы/Нагасаки, подписавшей себе подобный смертный приговор своим "гарантированным взаимным уничтожением", подготовленным за 80 лет.
         Слава Богу, пришел Трамп, единственный трезвомыслящий мировой лидер США, который вместе с Путиным, дай Бог, положат конец "войне прежде, чем война положит конец человечеству"! 
         Больше всего мне нравится определение варн/сферонов у Ганди как "вечного, Ньютоновского закона общества", без которого оно не может существовать, рассыпется, т.е. это закон вечного мира и ненасилия человечества. Поэтому Гандианский закон варн/сферонов составляет стержень нашей, ГГСГ, Науки Вечного Мира. Ее Букварь станет настольной книгой для мирового сообщества.

         Thank you for Paragraph 5. Good work! I completely agreed and affirm it.

         I wonder however, if President Trump will be able to read and understand this excellent text, not to speak of putting it into practice. He does not read any books.

         I am afraid, that President Trump and his people know very little about Kant and his o­nce Prussian and now Russian Konigsberg, which he never left, or about the German idealism, which he initiated, or the materialism, which inherited its dialectical logic.

So lets hope that President Trump will bring, if also not perennial, universal peace, then at least a partial peace for the Ukraine and Palestine.

         Unfortunately, that will not be a democratic, but rather an authoritarian peace. But even such authoritarian peace will be better, than the war.

         In the past 10 years, President Trump never participated in the irrational demonization of President Putin and the likewise irrational identification of Russia as the enemy, promoted by the Democratic Party. He always knew that the war in the Ukraine was provoked by the NATO's east expansion beyond Germany. That definitely speaks for President Trump.

Lets hope for peace!

Trump, Putin, Kant's Perpetual Peace and its Primer

Dear Rudi,

         Thank you very much for your brilliant, philosophical and peacemaking genius response simultaneously with the high assessment and affirmation of Paragraph-5 about the Gandhian spherons as eternal actors of the Kantian perpetual peace! The response is published o­n the paragraph page with it.

         But the center of rotation of your response is Trump and his peacemaking attempts in Ukraine and Palestine. By doing so, Trump makes himself an international crossroads of all roads of peace and war of humanity for 4 years, ending the "democratic wars of Biden's MAD" and opening the gates for perpetual peace, even if he knows nothing about it and its philosopher Kant.

         You brilliantly and truly characterize Trump's peacemaking for 10 years, his rejection of the democratic demonization of Putin, of its propaganda zombification of Russia as an enemy of America and the goal of "ending the wars" in Ukraine and Palestine. And whatever peace Trump and Musk establish, of course, you are absolutely right, it will be better than any “democratic, Biden-style”, suicidal war for the peoples of America, Russia, Ukraine and Europe. You and I, back in early 2017, conducted a comparative analysis of the Putin and Trump peacemaking positions (http://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=735). Since then, Trump’s peacemaking has been characterized by a powerful dynamics in the absolute truth of Kennedy’s strategy: “end the war before the war ends humanity!” This is a powerful, inaccessible to democrats, progress towards Kant's perpetual peace, which cannot be approached in o­ne step due to the many confrontational, institutional and cognitive blockages-obstacles created by the West/NATO nuclear militaristic civilization during 80 years, starting since Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

         The peace-truce created by Trump and Musk can become the first step and the beginning of humanity's long and difficult road to perpetual peace, if they arm themselves with our Peace Science, which we began with you in the GGHA 20 years ago and with our meeting in St. Petersburg in 2006, which you truly appreciated as "Providence". The Trump/Musk/Putin peace-truce can become, with our “Peace Science Primer” (PSP) a transition to perpetual peace, a turn not to a new “democratic war of the new Biden” in 10-20 years, but to perpetual peace that will put an end to all wars and confrontations. o­nly spheral thinking, as a result of the Trump/Musk “Common Sense Revolution,” can really, scientifically dream of this. For disciplinary, fractured thinking and its apologists, this “American dream” according to MLK is inaccessible, like terra incognita. Their steps to clean up this, so far their local, “Washington swamp” are admirable in their brilliant determination, consistency, and the scale of their DOGE effectiveness and the reorientation of their MAGA from the past (again) to the future: “Remember, we have a country to save, but ultimately, to make greater than ever before.”(https://www.theepochtimes.com/).

         We live and create in this greatest era of history transition from past, militaristic, hostile civilizations of wars to a new, multipolar era of harmonious, nonviolent civilizations of perpetual peace with a new, spheral thinking that excludes any confrontation and ensures the harmony of their infinite-dimensional spheres and spherons through a single, peaceful AI. With you, I hope very much that the Trump Administration will contribute to peace in the Ukraine and in Palestine and that, this peace will be a first step o­n the long road toward what the critical Futurology calls alternative. Future III - a more reconciled society, and that alternative Future I - the totally administered, authoritarian society, and most of all alternative Future II - the militaristic society, ending in hydrogen holocaust and ourcollective suicide can be avoided.
