Dear all

Indian Council of Medical Research has brought out a Special Collector's Edition of their Medical Journal o­n 'Gandhi and Health @ 150'.I was o­ne of the Guest Editors.It was blessed and released by His Holiness Dalailamji o­n 20th March at Dharamshala.It was a blessed moment for us.Dr.Balram Bargava, Director General of the ICMR, Dr.Rajni Kant, Director, RMPPC, ICMR HQ, Dr.Abhay Bang, Director, SEARCH and myself. It contains valuable articles by various scientists including Gandhian scholars.

Cycle rickshaws, bearing Gandhiji’s change mantra

 

          Today's programme went off well. The event started with the rikshaw pullers taking a tour inside the Galleries of National Gandhi Museum. A function with rikshaw pullers and young students of Manav Rachana International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad was organized with messages by Mr. Ram Chandra Rahi, Chairman of National Gandhi Museum; Dr. Y.P Anand, former Railway Board Chairman and the o­ne who led the design of the first set of cycle rikshaws in Delhi, and Mr. S. Barmaa, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Mr. A.Annamalai, Director of Gandhi Museum and Mr. Jubie John, co-founder of Letterfarms.

The exhibition will be open to all at the National Gandhi Museum throughout 2019. Cycle rickshaws, bearing Gandhiji’s change mantra, will cruise through the crowded roads of Delhi inviting common people to handwrite a change idea they passionately believe o­n simple postcards.
